Temporal Escape - Project Lead, Website, and UI
Over the course of my final year at Carleton University, I was in a small team, creating a Virtual Reality Escape Room.
2 player, with voice chat capabilities. Players enjoyed our game at the Carleton University IMD Capstone Fair.
Throughout the course of creating Temporal Escape, I was project lead, website designer, and UI designer.
I worked alongside two amazing artists, and an incredible programmer and designer.
Promotional Trailer
To promote our product, I created a promotional trailer for Temporal Escape.
It was made in Adobe Premiere Pro, using the assets made by the team.
Promotional Website
To promote our product, I created a website in order to hold our gallery, blog posts, and more!
It is no longer active, but it can be viewed in the screen capture!
Project Management
My tasks as project lead were vast.
From content management in Google Drive and GitHub, task management in Google Sheets and Trello, to making shareholder presentations in Power Point. I had a hand in every pot keeping the team on track.
We ensured frequent team meetings and discussion using a Discord server for the group, and I also organized times to meet with our project advisor.
UI and User Testing
Initially, we had a fifth team member assigned to fill this role. After some unforeseen events, however, I ended up filling his shoes.
I worked to create a very rudimentary UI system, focusing on sound controls, accessibility, and basic controls.
I also ran four user testing sessions: Preliminary, Prototype, Beta and Final. The results shown are from our final testing round, in which we used the user data to further flesh out controls and add in additional accessibility toggles.
